Calculation Methodology

Our calculator uses science-based formulas to estimate daily water needs, taking into account physiological and external factors.

1. Base Requirement

The primary factor is body weight. The standard recommendation is approximately 33 ml of water per 1 kg of weight:

$$Base = Weight \times 0.033$$

2. Physical Activity

During exercise, the body loses fluid through sweat. We add 0.35 L for every 30 minutes of activity:

$$Activity = \frac{Minutes}{30} \times 0.35$$

3. Climate Factor

In hot climates, water needs increase. We add a fixed 0.5 L to compensate for fluid loss due to temperature.

4. Gender Factor

Men generally have higher muscle mass and metabolic rate, so their water needs are approximately 10% higher than the base.
